“Money can’t buy anything because when you’ll die you can’t bring it with you”
“If you plant the rice wrong this year next year you will do it right, but if you choose the wrong person it will wrong in the whole life.”
I was chatting with the neighbors near my house, leaving my sister with a cripple at the house. Suddenly, I saw a huge smoke up in the air, assuming that the community got burned. I rushed as fast as I can to save my sister’s life. That’s my first priority seeing her safe.
“I lost my mom since I was 7 years old because my mom gets cancer”.
“My house got burn and I didn’t grab anything, if can go in and get something,I would only get the rice”
“I don’t want anything besides home for my family”
“Working in an NGO has always been my dream job since I was in high school. This is because I grew up in a poor family and once I am educated, I always want to help people because I know how life in the poor family feels like. For the first three months that I worked for CCF, I felt like quitting. However, I did not. I met Scott Nyson, the founder of CCF and he is not Cambodian, but he wants to help Cambodian people. I questioned myself. How about me? I am Cambodian, why do I quit? So I decided to walk into the flame and work for CCF until now. On the 15th of May will be a big day for me. 1/ It is my birthday. 2/ My 5 years anniversary working for CCF. 3/ 15 years anniversary of CCF.”
